"The Monster Squad" Remake?

I have to confess. I was born in the 80's and I didn't see The Monster Squad until recently. I thought it was funny and I liked all the cussing that kids where allowed to do then. Today, we don't see kid oriented films with cussing in it. So, apparently there is a remake in the works and the original producer, Rob Cohen, wants to direct it.

Personally, I think a remake is a great idea. The film has a great story and with all the technology today it will be interesting to see what they do with the monsters. I wonder if they will use the classic monsters or throw in Freddy or Jason. Now, that would be awesome and would create a new group of followers. "African Cats" Trailer

After exploring Earth and Oceans, it looks like Disney Nature is going to show us inside the life of African Cats. I'm actually looking foward to this one because I enjoy learning about the big cats. I really want a cute little baby lion until it gets big.

New Trailer for "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"

I hope I'm right, but what I've noticed from this trailer is that David Slade maybe straying away from keeping the entire film told from Bella's point of view. Yes, I know the books are mostly told from her perspective, but I think it would be interesting to let some of the other characters have a say. Maybe we will see Victoria plan out her revenge on Bella instead of just hearing about it. It will definitely put a mark on Slade's auteurism.

New Clip from "Shrek Forever After"

I just love Puss in Boots. I think he really gives the Shrek films a little more flavor. It looks like Puss is having a little problem with his weight in this film, hopefully we will get to see him in action one last time!

How to Train Your Dragon or Cat?

After reading all the positive reviews on Dreamworks' How to Train Your Dragon, I had to check it out. Of course, Dreamworks made another winning film and this time they taught us to do what our hearts tell us and also not to stereotype.

Who knew dragons could be like cats. They like fish, they throw up their food, they like to roll around in the grass, they like to be scratched, they chase reflecting lights, they can be trained on a leash and you have to earn their trust. The dragons are first stereotyped as vicious killers, but young Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) finds out that the dragons are not what The Vikings believe they are. Hiccup begins his relationship with a Night Fury dragon who he names Toothless. After time, he realizes that dragons are not dangerous they just need to be treated right and humans need to understand that they will do what is necessary to live (just like any animal).

I really liked the message that this film sent out to us about the importance of treating all animals with respect, even if they are dangerous like some snakes, lizards, frogs, etc. It also teaches us to do our research on animals like Hiccup did. Toothless was stereotyped as one of the most dangerous dragons, but he was not once Hiccup learned his traits. It's the same way with us. If we see a snake in our yard, don't assume that it's poisonous and you must kill it. Research it and even if it is dangerous leave it alone.

A new spin on the Beauty and the Beast tale, which I find very exciting. Yes, it's another girly flick, but I'm a sucker for Beauty and the Beast like movies. It's nice to see Mary-Kate Olsen as the witch.

This will either be a hit or a miss. It's hard to tell with the Adam Sandler crew. They either make really hilarious films or really crappy ones.

What a fun cast! The Rock, Sam Jackson, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg! I'll definitely be in line for this one!

Three New Images From "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"

There's absolutely nothing interesting at all about these pictures. The only reason I decided to post them is because I find it interesting how Summit Entertainment is keeping Eclipse under wraps. There's not a lot of crazy publicity like there was for New Moon. We had a different clip everyday! It was ridiculous. So in other words, thank you for not giving away the entire movie. I'm happy with a trailer, poster and a few images.
